epsin-like, dTel2, Tel2, Epsin, epsin-2
multi-modular proteins that stimulate clathrin-coated vesicle formation - functions in trans-Golgi network/endosome vesicle trafficking transports specific cargo critical to one or more signaling pathways - required for egg chamber morphogenesis during oogenesis

AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.
Low-frequency RNA-Seq exon junction(s) not annotated.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).
Comment: reported as salivary gland primordium
lqfR is expressed in all tissues assayed, including imaginal discs and salivary glands (developmental stage unspecified) and ovaries. lqfR is detected at all stages during oogenesis. It is observed in punctae in the germarium as well as in the follicle cells, the oocyte, and the nurse cells. By stage S9, is is highly expressed in the apical cytoplasm of the follicle cells associated with the oocyte. Expression in follicle cells persists until stage S14. Staining in the oocyte proper is relatively low in later stages of oogenesis.
lqfR protein accumulates mainly in the peripodial epithelium in eye discs.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
polyclonal
The a isoform of lqfR encodes a translational fusion of Golgi Epsin and the D. melanogaster Tel2 homologue.
