Macromolecular Complex Report Pages
FlyBase News

FlyBase is introducing new Macromolecular Complex report pages. These pages are a sub-collection of the Gene Groups resource. The new reports and search features are aimed at making complexes easier to find in FlyBase.

FlyBase has been curating complexes as part of the Gene Group resource for a number of years. Over this period, we have curated 254 discrete complexes which can now be searched in their own dedicated QuickSearch tab on the homepage. Complexes can be searched by typing in the search box or by browsing the Macromolecular Complex Report List. A link is also provided to the vocabularies tool to view terms under the protein-containing complex branch of the Gene Ontology.

Macromolecular Complex reports remain part of the main Gene Groups resource and so can still be found from the Gene Groups tab or browsable list (http://flybase.org/lists/FBgg/). As part of a collaboration with the EMBL-EBI Complex Portal many fly complexes have been added to this resource and 194 Macromolecular Complex Reports have corresponding entries.
