Description

Targeting event that has resulted in a partial duplication of the htt locus. The sequence consists of 1. htt exons 1 through 8, in which exons 3 and 4 and part of exon 5 have been deleted, 2. a mini-w[+] marker and 3. exons 2 through to the 3' end of the htt transcription unit.

The positional effect variegation (PEV) at the Sb locus caused by T(2;3)SbV or at the y locus caused by In(1)y3P is significantly suppressed by single copy of httint.

The ovarian defects observed in females expressing Su(var)3-3GD9296 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI as well as the ectopic venation phenotype induced by Scer\GAL4en.PU-driven expression of Su(var)3-3GD9296 are enhanced by combination with httint.

The adult eye induced by expression of HDAC1JF01401 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH or by expression of E2f1dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cJa driven by Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is weakly enhanced by combination with httint, whereas the eye defects observed upon expression of E(Pc)JF03101 (under the control of either Scer\GAL4ey.PH or Scer\GAL4GMR.PF) are suppressed by combination with httint.

Combination with httint enhances, to a varying degree, the adult wing phenotypes induced by expression of any of the following: HDAC1JF01401, Su(var)3-3GD9296, Jarid2JF02081, Su(z)12JF01706, ash1JF01498, trxJF01557, brmGD4507, Mt2GD5033, brmHM04019, gppJF01283, RgaGL00386 or HP1bKK108772 (controlled by Scer\GAL4nub.PK or Scer\GAL4en.PU) and suppresses the wing defects induced by expression of Su(var)205KK110828, Sin3AHMS00359 (driven by Scer\GAL4en.PU) or Orc2KK102852 (driven by Scer\GAL4nub.PK).

The penetrance of the ectopic venation phenotype observed in Su(var)3-3ΔN homozygous adults is significantly increased upon combination with httint.
