Expression of HP1bKK108772 under the control of either Scer\GAL4nub.PK or Scer\GAL4en.PU results in ectopic veins and notched wings. Expression controlled by either Scer\GAL4ey.PH or Scer\GAL4GMR.PF has no overt adult phenotype, Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI-driven expression is lethal.

The various wing defects induced by expression of HP1bKK108772 under the control of Scer\GAL4nub.PK or Scer\GAL4en.PU are both enhanced and suppressed by co-expression of httGD14943 - the ectopic venation phenotype is enhanced while the wing notches are suppressed. The wing vein defects observed upon Scer\GAL4nub.PK- or Scer\GAL4en.PU-driven expression of HP1bKK108772 are also enhanced by combination with httint.
