Expression of httGD14943 under the control of either Scer\GAL4en.PU or Scer\GAL4nub.PK does not lead to any obvious adult wing defects.

Expression of httGD14943 under the control of Scer\GAL4insc.PU results in mitotic spindle positioning defects in third instar larval neuroblasts: in contrast to wild-type controls, a significant proportion of cells show spindles with the angle between centrosomal pole and center of the mira protein crescent higher than the 15[o].

Adults expressing httGD14943 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

The ovarian defects observed in females expressing Su(var)3-3GD9296 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI as well as the ectopic venation phenotype induced by Scer\GAL4en.PU-driven expression of Su(var)3-3GD9296 are enhanced by co-expression of httGD14943.

Co-expression with httGD14943 enhances, to a varying degree, the adult wing phenotypes induced by expression of any of the following: HDAC1JF01401, HDAC6HMS00077, Su(var)3-3GD9296, Jarid2JF02081, ash1JF01498, Snr1GD4140, notJF03152, escGD1240, Set1GD12893, escJF01403, Mt2GD5033, brmHM04019, gppJF01283, or RgaGL00386 (controlled by Scer\GAL4nub.PK or Scer\GAL4en.PU).

Adult flies co-expressing httGD14943 and any of the following: JHDM2HMS00775, Jarid2HMS00679, AsxJF01708, AsxKK102222, gppJF01284 and Su(var)205KK110828 under the control of Scer\GAL4en.PU display ectopic wing vein phenotype.

Co-expression of httGD14943 suppresses the adult eye phenotype induced by expression of E(Pc)JF03101 (under the control of either Scer\GAL4ey.PH or Scer\GAL4GMR.PF) or E(Pc)GL00169 (driven by Scer\GAL4ey.PH), whereas it enhances the eye defects observed upon expression of HDAC1JF01401 or brmK804R.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 (with Scer\GAL4ey.PH) or E2f1dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cJa (with Scer\GAL4GMR.PF).

The various wing defects induced by expression of either HP1bKK108772 or Su(var)205KK110828 under the control of Scer\GAL4nub.PK or Scer\GAL4en.PU are both enhanced and suppressed by co-expression of httGD14943 - the ectopic venation phenotype is enhanced while the wing notches are suppressed.

The adult eye phenotype induced by expression of Sin3AHMS00359 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH is suppressed by co-expression of httGD14943, the wing phenotype observed with the Scer\GAL4en.PU driver is both enhanced and suppressed by co-expression of httGD14943 - it suppresses the L5 wing vein defect but enhances the ectopic posterior crossvein phenotype.
