Only 51% of testis somatic cyst stem cells show repositioning of the mitotic spindle during anaphase in males expressing MoeTD.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4C587 compared to 76% of cases in heterozygous controls.

Expression of MoeTD.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP induces lethality in MoePL106 escapers and wild-type siblings.

When MoeTD.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP is driven by Scer\GAL4arm.PS in imaginal discs, no effect is seen on the development of the mutant animals.

In the nurse cells of MoeTD.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP; Scer\GAL4Moe-PG26 or MoeTD.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP; Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 females, the mesh-like structure of the cortical actin network disappears and actin filaments are concentrated in dense spots in the cortex and lateral membranes. In addition, overall cell shape is altered and nurse cells become abnormally round.
