Amino acid replacement: G593D.
Nucleotide substitution is numbered using the system of FBrf0047067. 3bp are deleted from the 3' UTR with respect to the sequence published in FBrf0049579. Two additional bases exist in the perT sequence, 800 bases upstream of the translation start site, in intron 1.
Nucleotide substitution: G4800A.

perT mutants show increased responsiveness to initial cocaine 75μg exposure, and weak sensitization (as compared to wild-type) to a second exposure when tested for behavioural responses. These flies do not show sensitization to other cocaine doses.
Very fast 16hr clock mutant.
Period-altering mutations. Homozygotes have a 16 hour period, heterozygotes with per+ have a 20 hour period and heterozygotes with per- have a shorter period than with per+. The rhythmic mutant can be entrained. At 25oC individuals exhibit marginal emergence rhythm but at 19oC periodicity is 17-18 hours. CkIIβAnd combined with perT exhibits a 1 hour lengthening of the adult periodicities, an additive effect. Combination with so mutation has no effect on rhythms.
perT is a suppressor | partially of abnormal circadian rhythm phenotype of Df(3R)tll-g/dcoar
perT is a suppressor | partially of abnormal circadian rhythm phenotype of dcoj3B9/dcoar
perT/per[+] is a non-suppressor of abnormal circadian rhythm | partially phenotype of tim01
