    Genetic Interactions
    Statement
    Reference

The formation of ectopic wing veins observed in adult flies expressing Marcal1Scer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4tub.PU is ameliorated by combination with a single copy of AsxXF23.

2% of AsxXF23/+ ; HcfHR1 males have defects in rotation of the genitalia.

Df(2R)vg-D, AsxXF23, Pcl15/+ flies have almost normal wings. If the flies also carry jing22F3, the arrangement of wing bristles at the posterior wing margin becomes disorganised and there is an increase in the appearance of cuticle patches containing a high density of small trichomes, indicative of a partial wing-to-haltere transformation.

Df(2R)vg-D, AsxXF23, Pcl15/+ animals show an average of 2.5 extra sex combs hairs in either the second of third leg.

The addition of lolalk02512/+ to homozygous AsxXF23 animals shows a partial homeotic transformation of A6 to A5 in the abdomen.

AsxXF23/+ does not suppress the rough eye phenotype due to Scer\GAL4ey.PH; asf1Scer\UAS.cMa.

No significant modification of the number of sex combs is seen in AsxXF23/+ corto420/+ double heterozygotes compared to AsxXF23/+ single heterozygotes.

The addition of heterozygous AsxXF23 has no effect on the Pairing sensitive silencing effect seen in wMcp.scs'.21 and wMcp.y.scs'.1 alleles, or the eye colour phenotype of wMcp.y.scs'.1/ywe.Mcp.2 (P{Mcp-yw#1}103/+, P{Mcp-wy#2}50/+) and wMcp.scs'.21/ywe.Mcp.1 (P{Mcp-w#21}124/+, P{Mcp-wy#1}183/+) double heterozygous insertions.

Weak suppressor of eye pigment phenotype of wT81.

Hemizygous mxcM1 males show weak homeotic phenotypes. Some enhancement of homeotic transformations is seen in mxcM1/Y in trans with one mutant copy of AsxXF23.

Ectopic abd-A is present in parasegments 2-6 in the epidermal cells. Abd-B shows a graded expression at 9 hours along the A-P axis, more concentrated in the posterior. By 12 hours the expression is more uniform.

    Weak derepression of en expression.

Silencing of Scer\GAL4-BXD genes is dependent on Pc group gene function, in mutant embryos silencing is lost.
