Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Heterozygotes show a significant increase in double strand break (DSB) repair via homologous recombination and a corresponding decrease in DSB repair by nonhomologous end-joining compared to controls in a somatic DSB repair assay, when whd-y+ is used as the recipient allele bearing the target break site.

17% of heterozygous males have ectopic sex combs on the second leg.

17-20% of T2 legs and 0% of T3 legs have sex combs in heterozygous males.

Heterozygous males sometimes have ectopic sex combs on the second and third legs.

Mutation does not affect the level of w expression in ph-plac+3 flies.

Mutation has no effect on the hhMrt wing phenotype.

Transformation of legs 2 and 3 to leg 1.

Haplo-abnormal phenotype is suppressed by a duplication carrying Pc.

Additional Comments
Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

The formation of ectopic wing veins observed in adult flies expressing Marcal1Scer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4tub.PU is ameliorated by combination with a single copy of Pcl11.

A Pcl11/+ background enhances the ectopic posterior sex comb phenotype seen in crm32 homozygotes.

47% of rept06945/+ ; Pcl11/+ males have ectopic sex combs on the second leg and 4% have ectopic sex combs on the third leg.

The frequency of ectopic sex combs seen in Pcl11/+ males is increased by Sir22A-7-11; in Sir22A-7-11/+ ; Pcl11/+ double heterozygous males, 76% of T2 legs and 35% of T3 legs have sex combs. The frequency of ectopic sex combs seen in Pcl11/+ males is increased by Sir217; in Sir217/+ ; Pcl11/+ double heterozygous males, 71% of T2 legs and 38% of T3 legs have sex combs.

The ectopic sex comb phenotype seen on the second and third legs of Pcl11/+ males is enhanced by corto420/+.
