Detailed Description

Adult homozygous males have 6 normal abdominal segments. Males and Females lack genitalia. Enhances penetrance of head defect phenotype when in trans with Abd-Biab9-tuh-3. Heterozygotes with Abd-Biab9-tuh-3 exhibit genital defects to a moderate degree.

Embryos lack the r function, as shown by their ability to complement the m-r+ allele Abd-Biab8-D14. The m function is not completely destroyed (FBrf0043917; FBrf0047933).

A5-A8 (including female genitalia) transformed to A4 in mosaics. Embryos have extra denticles in A9, and parasegments 10-13 are transformed to parasegment 9.

Dominant haplo-insufficient phenotypes. Lethal or nearly lethal over Df(3R)P9 : surviving flies are completely or partially sterile.
