AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

Dicistronic transcript isoform(s) appear to be relatively rare based on RNA-Seq and/or EST data.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).
Comment: maternally deposited
Comment: expression much stronger in adults

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
Homozygous and hemizygous mutant males show defects in the early proliferation and subsequent survival of the male germline. The germline stem cells divide in larval and newly eclosed adult testes producing some daughter primary spermatogonia, but these do not survive for more than one day after eclosion, after which time the testes lack germinal content. Mutant larvae are defective in behaviour and locomotor activity.

One or more of the processed transcripts for these genes contain two non-overlapping open reading frames (ORFs). The non-overlapping ORFs are represented by CG34179 (FBgn0085208), CG9131 (FBgn0029161).
