Description

UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of the kon genomic region (missing the first 39 amino acids) which has a Tag:SS(wg) signal sequence and three copies of a Tag:HA tag at the N-terminal end of the coding sequence.

In embryos expressing konScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1,T:wg under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR, comparable filopodial activity is detected during both migration and initial attachment of the ventral muscles as occurs in wild-type embryos and these filopodia do not appear to be unusually stable. However, filopodia continue to form at muscle tips at much later stages than normal in the mutant embryos, even as muscles being to contract. Muscle contractions are much reduced in these mutant embryos.

Expression of konScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1,T:wg under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in a small and blistered wing.
