      Only 0.4% of roX1ex84A Df(1)52 hemizygous males with P{w+4Δ4.3} survive to adulthood and these die shortly after eclosion. These animals are slightly delayed in reaching 3rd instar and when they do are abnormally thin. Survival to adulthood is partially rescued (to 4.7%) by msl-1Hsp83.PC; msl-2Hsp83.PK.
