R48C
Site of nucleotide substitution in mutant inferred by FlyBase based on reported amino acid change.
Hsp8319F2/Hsp83e6A females have a series of ovarian defects. Approximately 75% of egg chambers are blocked at different developmental stages, not later than stage 9. The remaining egg chambers show a pronounced defect in the transfer of nurse cell cytoplasm to the oocyte; the nuclei of the nurse cells do not degenerate at the end of the dumping process, as occurs in wild-type egg chambers, but persist up to later stages of oogenesis. Mutant mature eggs are smaller in size than normal and have altered dorsal appendages.
Hsp8319F2 has no effect on an invariant bristle trait (thoracic and scutellar bristles were analysed). Hsp8319F2 has no significant effect on the trait mean of a variable bristle trait (the sternopleural, orbital, ocellar and vibrissa and carina bristles were analysed) compared to the background strain in which the Hsp8319F2 mutation was induced.
Hsp8319F2/Hsp83[+] is an enhancer of egg chamber phenotype of cup15
Hsp8319F2/Hsp83[+] is an enhancer of egg chamber phenotype of cup21
Hsp8319F2/Hsp83[+] is a suppressor of arista | increased number phenotype of obk1
Hsp8319F2 is a suppressor of eye phenotype of Raf::tor12D.sev
Hsp8319F2/Hsp83[+], cup21 has egg chamber phenotype
The oogenesis defects seen in cup21 females are enhanced if they are also heterozygous for Hsp8319F2; double mutants show earlier egg chamber growth arrest and precocious degeneration of the nurse cell nuclei. The double mutant egg chambers are often misshapen, with egg chambers either unbudded or fused (seen by the presence of supernumerary nurse cell nuclei in the egg chamber).
The oogenesis defects seen in cup15 females are enhanced if they are also heterozygous for Hsp8319F2.
Dominantly suppresses the rough eye phenotype of phl::tor12D.sev. Synthetic lethal in combination with phl12.
Hsp8313F3 and Hsp8319F2 are independent isolates of the same point mutation.
