Cell density is reduced in homozygous follicle cell clones and the nuclei are enlarged.

Temperature sensitive wing-vein gap phenotype.

Wing veins are wild type at 25oC. At 29oC a recessive wing vein gap phenotype appears, most often in L4 and L5, frequently in L2 but never in L3. At 29oC heterozygotes with Su(dx)4, Su(dx)56 or Df(2L)Su(dx)-7 show a recessive wing vein gap phenotype. At 25oC the same combination has intact longitudinal veins but forked or incomplete crossveins. Temperature-shift analysis revealed a temperature sensitive period for the wing vein phenotype between 20 and 28 hours APF at 25oC.

Homozygotes and heterozygotes are phenotypically wild type.

Wings from pydex147/pydtam flies are broader compared to control wings, and this phenotype is not modified in a Su(dx)sp/Df(2L)Exel6006 background.

Wings from pydex147/pydtam flies are broader compared to control wings, and this phenotype is not modified in a Su(dx)sp/+ background.

Nnd-1/Y, Su(dx)sp have extra, reversed polarity joints in tarsal segments three and four.

Nnd-1/+, Su(dx)sp/Su(dx)32 shows a longitudinal vein gap phenotype.

Suppression of dxENU and dxS1M is stronger than for Df(2L)Su(dx)-7. Dominantly suppresses the wing notching phenotype of a notchoid allele of N, at the same time as enhancing a wing vein gap phenotype. This combination is near lethal when homozygous, with escapers showing further enhancement of wing vein gaps and held out and down curved wings. Heterozygous combinations of Su(dx)sp, Su(dx)4, Su(dx)56 and Df(2L)Su(dx)-7 weakly enhance the wing vein phenotype of NAx-E2, but homozygous Su(dx)sp at 25oC strongly enhances the phenotype. The combination is poorly viable but escapers show further enhancement of wing vein gaps and held out and down curved wings. Enhances the wing vein gap phenotype and bristle phenotype of H1. Suppression of Dl171 by Su(dx)sp acts particularly at the distal ends of the veins. Su(dx)sp has no effect on the wing margin phenotype of Ser1. Enhances the wing gap and bristle phenotypes of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, HLHmβScer\UAS.cdCa flies.

Triple homozygotes with NAx-E2, dxENU are inviable. Dominantly suppresses the mutant wing eye and ocelli phenotypes of dxENU, dx1, dxP and dxS1M.
