    Expression of Ect4EP3610 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU results in increased number of apoptotic (Dcp-1-positive) cells and loss of eve-positive neurons in pupal ventral nerve cord (VNC) as compared to driver-only controls. This reduction in the number of eve+ neurons in pupal VNC is also observed when expression of Ect4EP3610 is driven by Scer\GAL4Myd88-NP6394, which also leads to general decrease in cell numbers within the drivers expression domain in the VNC (assayed using a nuclear histone-reporter).

    The increased cell death (number of apoptotic Dcp-1-positive cells) in the ventral nerve cord of pupae expressing Ect4EP3610 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU can be increased further by Myd88kra-56 homozygosity and is efficiently suppressed by co-expression of bskGD10555 but not by combination with wekEX14/Df(2L)BSC690.
