UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a 'suppressor' protein that has been shown to disrupt aggregation of expanded-polyQ repeat proteins in vitro. The suppressor sequence consists of the first 17 amino acids residues of Hsap\HTT, a 25Q polyQ-repeat, a spacer region derived from helical regions from the C-terminal region of TBP, a second 25Q polyQ-repeat and a Tag:MYC tag.
