991bp deletion that removes the mir-100, let-7 and mir-125 microRNAs. The GAL4 coding region and a w[+] marker have been inserted in their place. The GAL4 driver sequence is expressed by transcription from the "let-7-C" promoter (the promoter of the polycistronic transcription unit that normally encodes mir-100, let-7 and mir-125).
ScerGAL4let-7-C drives expression in the alpha/beta Kenyon cells, from 48h APF when these neurons are generated. In the pupal stages, expression in the calyx of the mushroom body partly co-localises with the expression of EcR. Expression of ScerGAL4let-7-C and apt and ab in the pupal calyx does not colocalise.
