Adults expressing RalaS25N.cMa.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 show a loss of shaft cells in the microchaetae and macrochaetae.

Expression of RalaS25N.cMa.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF does not result in a mutant phenotype in the eye.

Expression of RalaS25N.cMa.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4sca.PU results in the loss of the bristle shafts of most microchaetae and macrochaetae on the notum and the head.

Co-expression of Rgl1.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\CAAX suppresses the loss of bristle phenotype caused by expression of RalaS25N.cMa.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4sca.PU.

Co-expression of either Ras85DV12.C40.Scer\UAS or Ras85DV12.G37.Scer\UAS dramatically enhances the loss of bristle phenotype caused by expression of RalaS25N.cMa.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4sca.PU.

The loss of bristle phenotype seen in flies co-expressing Ras85DV12.C40.Scer\UAS and RalaS25N.cMa.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4sca.PU is suppressed by co-expression of Rgl1.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\CAAX.

The loss of bristle phenotype seen in flies co-expressing Ras85DV12.G37.Scer\UAS and RalaS25N.cMa.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4sca.PU is largely suppressed by co-expression of Rgl1.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\CAAX.

Co-expression of RV12.cHa.Scer\UAS and RalaS25N.cMa.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4sca.PU results in a 10-13% survival rate. In all surviving flies, a wild-type pattern of macrochaeta and microchaeta bristles is restored on the thorax.

Co-expression of RalaS25N.cMa.Scer\UAS has no effect on the rough eye phenotype caused by expression of Ras85DV12.C40.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

Co-expression of RalaS25N.cMa.Scer\UAS enhances the rough eye phenotype caused by expression of Ras85DV12.G37.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

Co-expression of RalaS25N.cMa.Scer\UAS partially suppresses the rough eye phenotype caused by expression of RV12.cHa.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.
