In ex vivo third instar larval eye-antennal discs expressing sqhRLC.T:Avic\GFP-S65T, chromophore-assisted laser inactivation (CALI) of sqhRLC.T:Avic\GFP-S65T leads to a significant reduction in the extent of epithelial folding at the A1 fold, and disruption of the field boundary of the A1 fold, allowing cells to cross the boundary, in contrast to controls.
