Expression of crbGD14463 under the control of Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62 results in a moderate wing overgrowth in adult flies: the wing area is significantly increased compared to controls.

Expression of crbGD14463 under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS at 25[o]C does not alter the morphology of transition zone tubes.

Expression of crbGD14463 (co-expressed with Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa) under the control of Scer\GAL4repo.PU has no detectable effect on glial cell number in the third instar larval eye disc.

Stage 17 embryos expressing crbGD14463 under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS show severe defects in the transition from luminal liquid-clearance to air-filled airways.

Adults expressing crbGD14463 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression of crbGD14463 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH leads to an increase in head and eye size compared with controls.

The wing undergrowth observed in flies expressing either exScer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP or kibraScer\UAS.P\T.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62 (their wing area is significantly decreased compared to controls) is modified by co-expression of crbGD14463 (which on its own leads to wing overgrowth), but whereas the small wing size of exScer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP-expressing flies is increased, in the case of kibraScer\UAS.P\T.cYa, the wing size is further reduced by co-expression of crbGD14463.

Expression of crbGD14463 under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS partially suppresses the tracheal morphogenesis defects seen in GckIIIwheezy-770 mutant third instar larvae. Transition zone dilation is completely suppressed in 61% of terminal cells and partially suppressed in a further 27%.

The failure of anterior follicle cells in homozygous Taoeta stage 9 follicle cell clones to stretch is not suppressed if the clones are also expressing crbGD14463 under the control of Scer\GAL4GR1.

Co-expression of crbGD14463 significantly rescues the eye neurodegeneration phenotype caused by expression of Hsap\APPAβ42.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU. The increased cell death phenotype which is seen in the eye imaginal discs of animals expressing Hsap\APPAβ42.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU is also significantly suppressed.
