Expression of kibraScer\UAS.P\T.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62 leads to reduced size of adult wing blade.

Expression of kibraScer\UAS.P\T.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF results in a reduction in the size of the adult eye.

Expression of kibraScer\UAS.P\T.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF results in ectopic apoptosis in the eye imaginal disc and adults with smaller eyes than normal.

The increased size of adult wing blade characteristic for flies expressing exKK100573 under the control of Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62 is suppressed by co-expression of kibraScer\UAS.P\T.cYa, which on its own leads to reduced adult wing size.

The wing undergrowth observed in flies expressing kibraScer\UAS.P\T.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62 (their wing area is significantly decreased compared to controls) is further reduced by co-expression of crbGD14463 (which on its own leads to wing overgrowth).

Co-expression of kibraScer\UAS.P\T.cYa and ykiScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF results in an eye size similar to that caused by expression of ykiScer\UAS.cHa alone under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.

Homozygous savshrp-1 eyes (induced by the eyFLP method) that are also expressing kibraScer\UAS.P\T.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF show overgrowth similar to that seen in eyes that are mutant for savshrp-1 alone. In the eye discs of these animals, the ectopic cell death that is induced by expression of kibraScer\UAS.P\T.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF in a wild-type background is suppressed in the savshrp-1 clones.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

The reduction in eye size caused by expression of kibraScer\UAS.P\T.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF is significantly suppressed by co-expression of BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa.
