Flies expressing SF2GD12097 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU have structurally normal eyes.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in loss of neuroblasts in the larval brain associated with increased size of the remaining neuroblasts.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in shorter neuroblast lineages (less daughter cells per neuroblast) in the larval brain compared to controls.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 may result in mild defects in the shape of ganglion mother cells in the larval brain (depending on the insertion line used).

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in mild defects in the shape of neuroblasts in the larval brain.

Adults expressing SF2GD12097 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) show significantly reduced avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Depending on the insertion line used, expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR can result in viable flies or adult/pharate lethality.

The co-expression of SF2GD12097 fully suppresses the rough eye, fully suppresses the decreased adult locomotor activity, and partially suppresses the decreased larval locomotor activity induced by the expression of Zzzz\GGGGCC36.Scer\UAS respectively under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF, Scer\GAL4da.G32, and Scer\GAL4nSyb.PS. SF2GD12097 co-expression, however, is not able to suppress the severe rough eye phenotype or the decreased adult locomotor activity induced by the expression of either Zzzz\poly-GRPO-36.Scer\UAS or Zzzz\poly-PRPO-36.Scer\UASunder the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF and Scer\GAL4da.G32, respectively.

SF2GD12097 reduces the extent of the rough eye phenotype when co-expressed with a strongly expressing Hsap\TARDBPUAS.cPa line under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU.
