Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Lethality acts in the second larval instar; affected larvae show dramatic growth defects. Lk61/Lk62 flies have reduced viability (45% lethality) and 20% mass reduction in adult males or 25% reduction in adult females. Larvae show growth defects, evident in fat body and salivary glands. Fat body cell size reduced by 30%. Reduced cell number, not size, underlies adult wing growth reduction of 12%.
