Deletion removing all Lk6 exons 3' of the P{EP}Lk6EP3333 progenitor insertion site.
partially lethal (with Lk61)
Lethality acts in the second larval instar; affected larvae show dramatic growth defects. Lk61/Lk62 flies have reduced viability (45% lethality) and 20% mass reduction in adult males or 25% reduction in adult females. Larvae show growth defects, evident in fat body and salivary glands. Fat body cell size reduced by 30%. Reduced cell number, not size, underlies adult wing growth reduction of 12%.

The wing nicking phenotype caused by expression of domdsRNA.Sym.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4bbg-C96 is enhanced if the flies are also carrying Lk62.
