partially lethal (with Lk62)
Homozygotes show 20% lethality. Adults merge with a 1-2 day delay. Males show a 13% body mass reduction and females show a 20% body mass reduction. Lk61/Lk62 flies have reduced viability (45% lethality) and 20% mass reduction in adult males or 25% reduction in adult females. Larvae show growth defects, evident in fat body and salivary glands. Fat body cell size reduced by 30%. Reduced cell number, not size, underlies adult wing growth reduction of 12%.
