The wing phenotype of sdFab-X flies is suppressed in the following double mutant genotypes: sdFab-X;AGO172/AGO145, sdFab-X;Dcr-2L811fsX, sdFab-X;piwi1 and sdFab-X;piwi2. However, this phenotype is not suppressed in the following double mutants: sdFab-X;spn-Ehls-E1, sdFab-X;Dcr-1Q1147X/+.
The wing blade destruction phenotype of homozygous sdFab-X females is strongly suppressed by Bin1R7-18/Df(3R)sbd45 : 13% of the double mutants show wing blade destruction in one wing, and 4% show wing blade destruction in both wings.
The wing blade destruction phenotype of homozygous sdFab-X females is significantly suppressed by Bin1R7-18/+ (39% show wing blade destruction in one wing, 36% show wing blade destruction in both wings), Rpd3def24/+ (26% show wing blade destruction in one wing, 30% show wing blade destruction in both wings) or TrlR67/+ (32% show wing blade destruction in one wing, 51% show wing blade destruction in both wings).
The addition of Fab-71 suppresses the wing phenotype seen in sdFab-X animals. The addition of additional insertions of the P{UAS-lacZ.Abd-B.5F24} transgene (P{UAS-lacZ.Abd-B.5F3}22,51 or P{UAS-lacZ.Abd-B.5F24}21,17) represses this suppression allowing the wing phenotype to manifest again. The addition of P{Mcp-w#11}45 or P{UAS-lacZ.U/l5}1,1 does not have this effect.
