Expression of rnScer\UAS.cSPa in the trichoid and basiconic lineage precursors under the control of Scer\GAL4amos.PZ leads to an increase in rn-positive at3 sensilla olfactory receptor neurons (ORNs) and a decreases in the rn-positive at4 ORNs. There is also a decrease in the rn-positive at1 ORNs.

Expression of rnScer\UAS.cSPa under the control of Scer\GAL4rn-GAL4-5 has no obvious effect on the leg. Expression of rnScer\UAS.cSPa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF disrupts the morphology and size of the adult eye. Expression of rnScer\UAS.cSPa under the control of Scer\GAL4sev.EP results in little if any rough eye morphology.
