Expression of dcoUAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E leads to a large trichome swirl close to the posterior cross vein, and a smaller swirl in the distal region of the wing when compared to controls.
Flies expressing dcoScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4arm.PS in a dcoVIII mutant background display morphological abnormalities in wing angle and folding. Approximately 60% of flies cannot fold their wings properly and 80% are unable to vibrate their wings and fly. No locomotor rhythm defects are seen in these flies.
Expression of dcoScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4tim.Scer\UAS in a wild type background lengthens the period of circadian locomotor activity to approximately 25 hours.
