Detailed Description

taraL4 homozygotes rescued by one copy of taraβ.Ubi-p63E have poor fertility and a fully penetrant wings-held-out phenotype. taraL4 homozygotes rescued by a single copy of taraβ.Ubi-p63E sometimes have a thickened arista (resembling a weak antenna-to-leg transformation) and they may have haltere defects, which appear to be result from transformation to wing margin (a row of bristles is formed). Only 30% of taraL4 homozygotes rescued by two copies of taraβ.Ubi-p63E have a held-out wings phenotype and their fertility is increased compared to those carrying one copy of taraβ.Ubi-p63E.

Comments

Expression of taraβ.Ubi-p63E almost completely rescues the sleep defects seen in taras132/tarae01264 mutant females and males.

Rescues the lethality of taraL4 homozygotes. taraL4 homozygotes rescued by one copy of taraβ.Ubi-p63E have poor fertility and a fully penetrant wings-held-out phenotype. Only 30% of taraL4 homozygotes rescued by two copies of taraβ.Ubi-p63E have a held-out wings phenotype and their fertility is increased compared to those carrying one copy of taraβ.Ubi-p63E.
