The expression of Su(H)UAS.cNa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU induces overgrowths in the eye. Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Eq induces an increase in the size of the notum.

Expression of Su(H)Scer\UAS.cNa in the wing under the control of Scer\GAL4bi-md653 results in a loss of veins and balloon-like overgrowth. After eclosion, wings do not inflate.

When Su(H)Scer\UAS.cNa is driven by Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1, an outgrowth in the wing blade is seen. When Scer\GAL4en-e16E is driven by Scer\GAL4en-e16E, a loss of wing vein is seen. Su(H)Scer\UAS.cNa driven by Scer\GAL4ap-md544 causes overproliferation in the wing disc.

Expression of Su(H)Scer\UAS.cNa under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 generates flies with a reproducible transformation of all trichogens into tormogens. However the internal cells are normal, having one neuron and one sheath cell per overlying double socket. Co-expression of numbScer\UAS.cWa with Su(H)Scer\UAS.cNa driven by Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 results in flies that are partially bald.
