dorsal multidendritic neuron ddaE & dendrite

Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

In sensE58 mutants, one of the dorsal class I neurons is missing in most hemisegments. In the remaining class I neurons, dendrites overextend dorsally and the arbors of ddaD and ddaE neurons are often mixed.

Heterozygotes do not show a loss of wing margin phenotype.

Genetic Interactions

Heterozygosity for sensE58 partially suppresses the supernumerary thoracic sensory bristle phenotype of individuals expressing Rbfox1dsRNA.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-109-68.

The presence of the sensE58/+ mutation partially rescues the supernumerary bristle phenotype of TBPHQ367X/TBPHQ367X mutants.

One copy of sensE58 substantially rescues the wing margin defects of mir-9aJ22 homozygotes; about 30% of the double mutant flies have wings that are indistinguishable from wild type, while others lack only a small part of the posterior margin. The bristles on the anterior wing margin resemble wild type in the double mutant flies.
