    Detailed Description
    Statement
    Reference

Alters free-running periods in a temperature-dependent manner. After entrainment to LD12:12 at 24oC mutants show a lengthened circadian rhythm under DD, by about 2 hours. When the temperature is elevated the length of the period increases. At 30o the period length is 10 hours longer than wild type. At 30oC many flies show arrhythmicity.

    Additional Comments
    Genetic Interactions
    Statement
    Reference

perL1, timrit double mutants show a period length of 32.9hr at 24oC, which exceeds that expected for the summation of the individual effects. At 27oC the period is 44.4hr. pers, timrit double mutants show a period length that represents the additive effect of the two single mutants. A per gene dosage of 2 (as in Dp(1;2;Y)w+/+ males) completely restores wild type behavior to timrit mutants. A per gene dosage of 1.5 (as in Dp(1;2;Y)w+/attached X females) partly restores wild type behavior to timrit mutants.
