Homozygous and Su(z)122/Su(z)125 larvae have dendrite defects in the class IV dendrite arborisation (da) neurons.

Su(z)125/Su(z)123 animals develop into pharate adults with strong posteriorly directed homeotic transformations. Sex combs are present on the first tarsal segment of the meso- and metathoracic legs in males, the antennae are partially transformed into legs and the wings are much smaller than normal and are partially transformed into halteres. Su(z)125/Df(3L)kto2 embryos derived from Su(z)122 female germline clones show homeotic transformation of all abdominal, thoracic and some head segments into the 8th abdominal segment.
