Expression of BxUAS.Tag:HA under the control of Scer\GAL4He.PZ reduces the haemocyte count while its expression under the control of Scer\GAL4He.PZ or Scer\GAL4lz-gal4 leads to increased crystal cell numbers when compared to control larvae.

Continual expression of BxUAS.Tag:HA under the control of Scer\GAL4mir-263b-Δ-G4 leads to decreased circadian rhythmicity and circadian power under constant dark, as well as a lack of morning anticipation activity under light-dark cycles, as compared to wild-type controls. Adulthood-specific expression under the additional control of Gal80[ts] also leads to a decrease in circadian rhythmicity compared to controls; this phenotype is not clearly induced by expression only during development.

Continual expression of BxUAS.Tag:HA under the control of Scer\GAL4mir-263b-Δ-G4 disrupts the circadian plasticity of sLNv dorsal projections: while controls exhibit more axon terminal branches at ZT2 than at ZT14 under light-dark cycles or dark conditions, mutants present similar number of axon terminal branches at (presumptive) ZT2 and ZT14, which are similar to ZT14 in controls.

BxScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1; Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP somatic clones are recovered much less frequently in the dorsal compartment of 3rd instar wing discs than in the ventral compartment. The few surviving dorsal clones adopt more a rounded shape than ventral clones or wild-type control clones.

Expression of BxScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 results in dorsal wing vein 3 having a ventral identity; vein 3 loses corrugation and the campaniform sensilla that are normally associated with it.

Wing discs expressing BxScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 have small wing pouches.

The loss of dorsally located somatic clones of BxScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1; Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP cells in late third instar wing discs is suppressed by the following transgenes: BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa, trnScer\UAS.cMa, capsScer\UAS.cSa, capsID.Scer\UAS, trnΔC.Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC, fngScer\UAS.B.T:Hsap\MYC, and NECN.Scer\UAS.cGa.

Expression of BxScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 in a Dlw1/+ background restores campaniform sensilla and corrugation on the dorsal surface of wing vein 3, indicating that these cells have dorsal identity. The wing is overgrown in these flies and an ectopic posterior wing margin is induced in the dorsal surface along the anterior-posterior compartment boundary.

Co-expression of apScer\UAS.cMa does not rescue wing pouch growth in wing discs expressing BxScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544. Co-expression of ap::BxdLAp.Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG rescues wing pouch growth in wing discs expressing BxScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544.
