      Expression of ap::BxdLAp.Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 results in the formation of an ectopic wing margin in the ventral compartment of the wing. Expression of ap::BxdLAp.Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 results in a mild reduction of the dorsal compartment in the wing disc. Expression of ap::BxdLAp.Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 results in a held up wing phenotype with wings that are curved upwards due to the reduced size of the dorsal compartment. Wing vein defects are also seen, especially in the posterior crossvein and vein 5, and extra vein tissue is seen between veins 4 and 5.
