Expression driven by Scer\GAL4en-e16E causes ectopic wing veins and overgrowth of the posterior wing.

Flies expressing saxQ263D.Scer\UAS.cDa under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E have defects in the posterior of the wing, such as overgrowth and ectopic venation.

When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4hs.PB in the somatic cells of the germarium, no germline tumor phenotype is observed. Egg chamber budding was affected, indicating a later effect on somatic cell function.

The maternal expression of saxQ263D.Scer\UAS.cDa, either under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 or in the absence of the Gal4 driver, partially rescues both the near lethality and the embryo ventralization of the progeny from dpphr4/+ fathers and lolal1122/+ mothers, and partially rescues the lethality of the progeny from dpphr27/+ fathers and lolal1122/+ mothers.
