Deletion starting from the first base of codon 255 and ending at the second base of codon 326, resulting in deletion and frameshift mutations from amino acids 255 to 376 (the C-terminus of wild-type eve).
200-300bp deletion in the 3' end of the coding region.
Deletion starting from the first base of codon 255 and ending at the second base of codon 326, resulting in a frameshift and translation termination after the addition of 48 novel amino acids. Position of mutation on reference sequence inferred by FlyBase curator based on author statement.
eve[+]/eve5 is an enhancer of partially lethal - majority die phenotype of trol13
eve[+]/eve5 is a suppressor of decreased occurrence of cell division | larval stage phenotype of trolsd
Dominantly enhances the semi-lethality of trol13/Y males and shows a transheterozygous effect in trol13/+ females, resulting in a reduction in viability. Neuroblasts in the trolsd larval brain show a proliferation defect. This phenotype is not affected if the larvae are also heterozygous for eve5. Hemizygous trol13 male larvae have a normal number of S phase neuroblasts per brain lobe. If the trol13 larvae are also heterozygous for eve5, then the number of S phase neuroblasts per brain lobe is reduced in 66% of larvae and unaffected in 33% of larvae.
