    Detailed Description
    Statement
    Reference

Embryos derived from homozygous females lack the most anterior and posterior structures; anteriorly the labrum is missing and the cephalo-pharyngeal skeleton is reduced, and posteriorly the 8th abdominal segment and the telson are deleted. Partially suppresses the pum mutant phenotype; several abdominal segments develop in embryos derived from females mutant for both tslunspecified and pum13.

Embryos derived from tslunspecified mutant females have anterior and posterior defects similar to those seen for tor mutations. Pole cell transplantation experiments indicate that the tslunspecified phenotype is soma-dependent.

Pole cell and ovary transplantation experiments show that tsl+ activity is not required in the germline, but is required in the ovary.
