wts^e26-1 hemizygotes show wing disc hyperplasia, associated with a significant increase in cell number, as compared to controls.

Homozygotes show giant pupa and disc overproliferation phenotypes.

Overproliferation phenotype causes larvae to be much larger than wild type, they have enlarged wing disc and CNS.
