hyd^K7.19 hh^rJ413 double mutant clones in the eye which are also expressing ci^76.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4^αTub84B.PL do not show overgrowth. The phenotype of hyd^K3.5 clones in the eye disc is partly suppressed if they are also mutant for hh^rJ413; ectopic photoreceptors are no longer formed in or around the clone, but some clones still induce overgrowth of wild-type tissue.

Associated with: CG31457^rJ413. The P{PZ}hh^rJ413 insertion is identified as an allele of hh on genetic grounds as well as an allele of CG31457 on molecular grounds (it is within the CG31457 transcription unit).

The rJ413 chromosome may carry 2 separable insertions, one within CG31457 and one 5' of hh; an alternative explanation is a single insertion associated with a 14.6-kb deletion between these 2 locations.
