Expressing aseUAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4FRT.Rnor\Cd2.Act5C has no effect on the mode of division of type III neuroblasts in FLP-out somatic clones in the optic lobe of third instar larvae.

No extra neuroblasts are seen when aseScer\UAS.cBa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4wor.PA or Scer\GAL4elav.PU.

Flies expressing aseScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB display in total an average of 10.9 ectopic bristles.

Ectopic expression of aseScer\UAS.cBa, driven by Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237, stimulates sensory organ precursor development in the wing disc to a greater level than wild type.

Expression of aseScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4C-765 results in the formation of ectopic sensory organs, including ectopic bristles on the notum and ectopic bristles and sensilla campaniformia on the wing.

Expression of aseScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL471B results in a breakdown of the mitotic domain pattern that is present in the outer proliferation center (OPC) of the developing optic lobe.

Expression of aseScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4455.2 results in extra macrochaetae.

Penetrance and expressivity of bristle phenotype increased with respect to that of asehs.PB, but the spatial and temporal specificity of the effect is unaltered.

Co-expression of aseScer\UAS.cBa largely suppresses the production of ectopic intermediate neural progenitor-like cells seen in the type I neuroblasts of the ventral brain and ventral nerve cord when pntScer\UAS.P1.cZa is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4insc-Mz1407.

Expression of aseScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB suppresses the mechanosensory bristle defects found in scase-1 mutants. The number of defective bristles in scase-1 flies is reduced from an average of 9.7 to 2.5 bristles per fly.

Co-expression of aseScer\UAS.cBa and nvyScer\UAS.cWa, both under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237, leads to a phenotype that is an intermediate of the two phenotypes seen when each is expressed separately. Resulting larvae have few sensory organ precursors in the wing disc and adults have some bristles on the thorax.

The phenotype caused by expression of aseScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4455.2 is strongly suppressed by co-expression of esgScer\UAS.cFa.
