98% of homozygous embryos hatch at 25oC.

98% of homozygous embryos hatch.

Weak ventralised phenotype.

Head involution does not occur in zen1 hemizygotes raised at the restrictive temperature. Germ band elongation is often normal. The optic lobe is absent. Viability is reduced at the permissive temperature.

sogP129D ; zen1 double mutant embryos die with a partially ventralised phenotype at 25oC.

The zen1 phenotype is dominantly maternally enhanced by Med11, Med12, Med13, Med14, Med15, Med16, Med17, Med18 or MadEz; in females carrying any of these mutations, 75-100% of zen1/zen1 progeny die as embryos with a partially ventralised cuticular phenotype.
