ari-2⁰⁷⁷⁶⁸ mutant C4da neuronal clones exhibit an increase in cell death and die during early metamorphosis.

(Kuo et al., 2006)

No defects are seen in axon pruning during metamorphosis, though a moderate proliferation defect is seen when somatic clones are made in the neuroblast.

(Watts et al., 2003)

Lethality occurs during the first and second larval instar stages. ari-1^unspecified/+ ; ari-2⁰⁷⁷⁶⁸/+ double heterozygotes do not show visible phenotypes and have normal viability and fertility.
