lawcEF520 causes early larval lethality. The 3% of lawcEF520/lawcp1 females that eclose have a lawc mutant phenotype including arista to leg transformation.

Lethal phase is during the embryonic to larval stages.

Does not enhance the frequency of homeotic transformations of trxB11, brm2 or ash117 single heterozygotes. The frequency of homeotic transformations in trxB11 ash117 or brm2 trxE2 double heterozygotes is dominantly enhanced by lawcEF520. lawcp1/lawcEF520 females are viable. However, in combination with trxB11, brm2 or ash117, lawcp1/lawcEF520 results in lethality. lawcp1/Df(1)RA2 females are viable.
