Reference

Males have shortened and thin bristles, while females are morphologically normal and fertile.

Unstable mutation. Males have shortened, thin bristles, while females have normal ones. Alters the y+ phenotype; thorax bristles are sometimes yellow.

thorax macro- and microchaetae yellow; causes yellow bristles on y+ flies; males but not females have short thin bristles.

Additional Comments
Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Lethal during the middle and late embryonic stages in combination with ph-pP1. This phenotype is rescued by e(y)1+tSa.

Enhances the y2 phenotype; thorax bristles, and hairs are yellow. This enhancer effect is not suppressed by su(Hw)2.
