LarCRISPR.3/LarMI03443-TG4.1 transheterozygous third instar larvae show very mild decrease in total dendrite density (but not in terminal dendrite density or numbers), while LarCRISPR.13/LarCRISPR.3 transheterozygotes display slight increase in both total dendrite density and terminal dendrite numbers relative to controls.

The very slight decrease in total dendrite density in class IV dendritic arborizing neurons characteristic for third instar larvae transheterozygous for LarCRISPR.3/LarMI03443-TG4.1 is strongly enhanced by expression of Ptp69DJF03399 under the Scer\GAL4Lar-MI03443-TG4.1 driver (which is inherent to the LarMI03443-TG4.1 allele), in addition the terminal dendrite density and terminal dendrite numbers are also significantly reduced.
