Imprecise excision of P{EPgy2}Lsm12EY01098 results in deletion of parts of Lsm12 and Chrac-16.
Lsm12Δ6 hemizygous as well as Lsm12Δ6/Df(1)ED7153 transheterozygous adults display aberrant long-period circadian locomotor rhythm under free-running constant dark conditions. Lsm12Δ6 mutants show normal morphology of Pdf-positive pacemaker neurons in the adult brain but the oscillation pattern of the circadian proteins per and tim in various clusters of pacemaker neurons is disrupted.
Lsm12aΔ6 has abnormal locomotor rhythm | adult stage phenotype, suppressible | partially by perTag:HA,Tag:polyHis
Lsm12aΔ6 has abnormal locomotor rhythm | adult stage phenotype, suppressible | partially by perUAS.cBa/Scer\GAL4cry.PE
Lsm12aΔ6 has abnormal locomotor rhythm | adult stage phenotype, non-suppressible by Scer\GAL4cry.PE/Atx2UAS.Tag:FLAG
Lsm12aΔ6 has abnormal locomotor rhythm | adult stage phenotype, non-suppressible by tyfUAS.Tag:FLAG/Scer\GAL4cry.PE
The aberrant long-period circadian locomotor rhythm under free-running constant dark conditions characteristic for Lsm12Δ6 mutant adults is partially rescued by combination with a single copy of perT:Ivir\HA1,T:Zzzz\His6 or by Scer\GAL4cry.PE-driven expression of perScer\UAS.cBa (but not Atx2Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG or tyfScer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG).
Lsm12aΔ6 is rescued by Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO/Lsm12aUAS.Tag:FLAG
The long-period circadian locomotor rhythm under free-running constant dark conditions observed in Lsm12Δ6 mutant adults is rescued by expression of Lsm12Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4cry.PE or the inducible Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO driver (using RU486 food supplementation to limit the expression to adulthood).
