Amino acid replacement: G178D.

G178D | Catsup-PA
G178D
Site of nucleotide substitution in mutant inferred by FlyBase based on reported amino acid change.
Virtually all mutant embryos hatch, but the larvae arrest at the first instar stage for 3-4 days, are akinetic and eventually die before without progressing to the second instar.
Homozygous clones in the wing result in loss of wing margin and wing notching at the tip in less than 5% of cases.
The wing notching phenotype seen in Df(1)N-54l9/+ and N264-107/+ flies is enhanced by heterozygosity for Catsup47.
Catsup26/Catsup47 is rescued by CatsupUAS.Tag:V5/Scer\GAL4da.G32
Expression of CatsupScer\UAS.T:SV5\V5 under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 rescues the lethality of Catsup47/Catsup26 animals.
