One hour after exposure to 40-Gy ionizing radiation, Scer\GAL4^en.PU cdc2^{T14A.Y15F.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-YFP.Venus} wing discs show mitotic cells in the posterior compartment, indicating a lack of normal checkpoint response.

Scer\GAL4^pros.PU-mediated expression of cdc2^{T14A.Y15F.Scer\UAS.P\T.T:Avic\GFP-YFP.Venus} in type I larval brain neuroblasts results in a relatively low mitotic index (after treatment with colchicine). Almost half of these neuroblasts exhibit gross chromosome aberrations. Mitosis takes relatively longer in these cells.
