Imprecise excision of P{EP}POSHEP1206.
A 425 bp deletion resulting from the imprecise excision of P{EP}POSHEP1206, removes the ATG and N-terminal coding sequences of POSH. The flanking sequences to the deletion are : 5′-GCCACGAG-3′ & 3′-TTCATCAT-5′.

Approximately 5% of the homozygous POSHp92 embryos show a dorsal hole in the epidermis indicating the disruption of dorsal closure.
Approximately 6% of POSHk15815/POSHp92 embryos show a dorsal hole in the epidermis indicating the disruption of dorsal closure.
Approximately 10% of POSHp92/Df(2R)BSC45 embryos show a dorsal hole in the epidermis indicating the disruption of dorsal closure.
Approximately 9% of the homozygous POSHp92 embryos display head involution defects.
Approximately 16% of the homozygous POSHp92 embryos display germ-band retraction defects.

POSHp92 is not rescued by Scer\GAL4unspecified/POSHUAS.cSa
Over-expression of POSHScer\UAS.cSa under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 fails to rescue the lethality and morphological defects in POSHk15815 and POSHp92 mutants.
